History of the Sri Satyanarayana Swamy Temple
In Cumming, Georgia, there is a Sri Satyanarayana Swamy Temple that was built in the summer of 2014. The temple was built after a fire destroyed the previous temple at the same location in 2010. The purpose of the new temple was to replace the old one and to incorporate renovations to the surrounding property. A local Hindu couple, Suresh and Shobha, purchased the land in Cumming, Georgia, with the goal of building a Hindu temple on the property. The couple had been Hindu for several years and were very excited to be able to fulfill their Hindu duty of building a temple. The couple approached Mr. Jagadeesh Kuchibhotla, the current co-director of the Temple, to propose that the temple be built on the property. Mr. Kuchibhotla was excited to accept the offer and began to work with the local Cumming community to gain support for the temple. The Sri Raghavendra Swamy Temple, also known as the Sri Kudanur Kottam Temple, is located in Cumming, Georgia. The local Hindu community in Cumming, Georgia, began construction on the Sri Raghavendra Swamy Temple in the summer of 2014. The Srinivasan family traveled to Cumming, Georgia, to participate in the temple’s dedication ceremony in October 2015.
